Welcome to the Gladmat Island and to the Gladmat meals. We hope you will experience some of our many Gladmat tastes and discover some of Norway’s very best chefs and cookbook-authors. Welcome to the Norwegian championship in pizza-making, the final round in “Salma Chef” and the 2011 nomination of the Cookbook of the year. Welcome to a Gladmat-dinner with artists Britt Synnøve Johansen and Jørn Hoel, a musical snack in the Bispekapell, a BBQ-school, a chocolate workshop, many concerts and a lot of other entertainment. 12.00:  Minister of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs Lisbeth Berg-Hansen opens the 13. Gladmat-festival. Entertainment is led by musicians Britt Synnøve Johansen and Jørn Hoel. The Food and Culture award will be presented following the balloon release.
